WE ARE RUSSELL WOODS
The largest historic district in Detroit, this neighborhood was home to many prominent residents, including former Supremes Diana Ross, Florence Ballard and Mary Wilson; poet and publisher Dudley Randall; and composer Brazeal Dennard. Golden World Records had a studio at Buena Vista and Dexter. Its location is a perk for residents with its proximity to other cities and freeways. Events such as Jazz in the Park attracts hundreds of attendees.
