WE ARE DOWNTOWN

Downtown is the central business district as well as home to an increasing number of residents who want to be at the center of it all. Public spaces such as Campus Martius and Hart Plaza host some of the biggest events of the year, bringing visitors from all over the region. All of the sports teams call downtown home; the Pistons are relocating from Auburn Hills to Detroit in 2017. Some of the area’s most notable sights are soaring skyscrapers such as the Renaissance Center and historic buildings by well-renowned architects such as Albert Kahn and Isamu Noguchi. Dining, new hotels, scenic and social parks, public transit, bike lanes and share program, the QLine and a walkable riverfront are redefining downtown.
