Russell Industrial is primarily a commercial area known for its namesake, the Russell Industrial Center. Per a description from the Center's owner, the complex began as a manufacturing facility but has now been revitalized as a canvas for countless artists. And its vast spaces have been host to film shoots, including major Hollywood motion pictures as well as other events.

Autonomous car developer Waymo announced today it will repurpose a former American Axle and Manufacturing facility on the city’s east side, creating up to 400
