Founded in 1929 and enclosed by Seven Mile, West McNichols, Parkside and Livernois, this neighborhood is named for being home to the University of Detroit Mercy and is known for its grandiose architectural historic homes, which date back to the 1920s and '30s. Walking through this neighborhood, you will find many homes with elaborate stone patterns and marble exteriors. The neighborhood also has access to libraries, a golf course, tennis courts, the Northwest Activities Center and a community garden.
