North Rosedale Park located in northwest Detroit comprises 1,700 homes built in the 1920s and 1930s. The homes situated along tree-lined streets boast such amenities as leaded glass windows, fine woodwork, hardwood floors and wet plaster walls. North Rosedale Park is the only neighborhood in the City of Detroit with a privately owned park and Community House. Together they form the hub of North Rosedale Park activities where neighbors gather for meetings, meals, parties, picnics, plays and sports. But for all the charm and character of the homes and neighborhood, it is the people who make North Rosedale Park special. This is a place where everyone knows their neighbors and works together to preserve and improve this unique community. Volunteers help with countless civic events such as tree planting, ice rink flooding and community theater.
