East English Village

WE ARE EAST ENGLISH VILLAGE

First developed in 1913, East English Village prides itself on the community’s diversity. Civil servants, blue-collar workers, retirees and professionals from different ethnic groups, religions and sexual orientations have all found a home here. The housing stock is distinct and unique, with most of the brick homes built in the early 1930s through 1950. The neighborhood association offers a wide range of activities such as contests, home tours, a garden club, an annual garage sale and a holiday party. At monthly meetings, the engaged community of longtime residents and new neighbors alike gather to discuss issues, successes and goings-on. The mutual support of neighbors and feeling of community are at the heart of the neighborhood.
