We are back for a third year highlighting #DetroitLove! We put out the call for couples to be featured in our annual Valentine's Day series and they answered. 

Meet Shonda and Drew

“Drew and I were both born and raised in Detroit. He's an eastsider and I'm a westsider. We met at Flood's Bar and Grille in Detroit where he has played for years. I've frequented there for years, but we never crossed paths. One night, I was out for a girls' night out at Flood's. My girls and I had dinner and noticed the band setting up so we decided to go listen. I saw Drew (who plays keys for 313 The Live Experience) and thought he was cute but went on about my evening. 

As we were preparing to leave, my girlfriend started poking fun at me for not saying anything to Drew. My other friend overheard and said she would go and get him. I dared her to and she marched backed in, interrupted Drew's conversation and told him that her friend wanted to meet him and he needed to come with her. He did and the rest is history. The connection was instant! That was May of 2016. We just got married on September 15, 2019. We actually went back to Flood's to do our engagement shoot.” –Shonda
