Warrendale, Cody-Rouge residents invited to hear ideas for child-friendly development
All-day event to be held Saturday, July 14
Invest Detroit and the City of Detroit Planning and Development Department invites residents from the Warrendale and Cody-Rouge areas for an all-day event on Saturday, July 14, to hear ideas from five design teams pitching the City on ideas for child-centered development in the neighborhoods.
From 8:45 a.m. until 3:30 p.m., each of the five teams will have a 40-minute presentation on their ideas to make the neighborhoods more amenable to families. There will be a 15-minute question-and-answer session following each presentation.
Youth are encouraged to attend the event.
As part of the Strategic Neighborhood Fund, several Detroit neighborhoods will be getting foundation-boosted investments to improve streetscapes, attract retail, create greenways and other initiatives to attract and retain residents.
The event will be held at the Cody High School auditorium from 8:45 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 14.
